General Information

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office provides fingerprinting services on the following days and times:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – By Appointment Only

All fingerprinting will be printed out on fingerprint cards and given to you in a sealed envelope. We do not provide LiveScan services.

Should you require fingerprinting for the School District, please go to their corporate office and get fingerprint cards from them before you come to the Sheriff’s Office.

All residents of Humboldt County requiring fingerprinting for employment or other services can sign up for your appointment here.

If you live in Winnemucca city limits you may also visit the Winnemucca Police Department for fingerprinting services. They can be reached at 775-623-6393. Their services are independent of Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office

Fingerprinting Requirements: must meet ALL requirements

Applicants for all permits or registration cards must present one of the following types of personal identification at the time of application:

  • Valid driver's license
  • State-issued identification card
  • Current U.S. issued passport

NOTE: The following information is required at the time you apply for your work permit:

  • Your full name and any aliases you have ever used including maiden names.
